How do I claim my Liberty Network Account (LNA)?

A Liberty Network Account (SENSENET account) gives students, faculty, and staff access to the online resources of Liberty University. All current students, faculty, and staff are required to claim their Liberty network account.

Important Information

To claim your Liberty Network Account, follow these steps:

  1. Click the following link: https://www.liberty.edu/account 

    or

  2. Click on the Claim Account link on the Sign in page.



  3. Enter your personal identification information. You will then need to check the check-box to confirm that you have read the University policy on account use. Then click Next.
    • Last Name,
    • Liberty ID number (Including the "L")
    • Birth Date,
    • Social Security Number (numbers only - NO dashes) 
    • ZIP code.



      Note:
      If you are an International student, you will need to click "I live outside of the US". This step will require you to enter your Country and Phone Number instead.





  4. The final step in the Claim Account Process will require you to setup your personal security questions and your unique password

    Create a password of your choice based on the guidelines explained on the page. 

    • Ensure it is at least 10 characters in length,
    • Contains at least 1 capital letter and at least 1 lowercase letter, and
    • Contains at least 1 number or special character
    • The following characters can be problematic and are not recommended for use in passwords:
      (% _ $ & ; ( ) [ ] { } " ' ` * ? @ / \).





  5. Click Continue to complete the process.

  6. The next page should display your Username and email address. Using this username and the password that you just created, you will be able to log into the Liberty website and access all of the resources that are available to you, such as Email, ASIST, and Financial Check-in.



  7. Once the account has been claimed, it may take up to 2 hours before the account is fully synced with the systems. Per the Claim Account page, creation of the email account may take up to six hours.
