As an Alumnus, you still have access to many Liberty University resources and discounts. Follow the steps below to recover your login information to be able to take advantage of these offers.
Note: After two years of inactivity, your account may be disabled. If you have your ID number or username, the Liberty University IT HelpDesk can assist in re-enabling your account.
If you do not know your username or Liberty ID number
- Call the Registrar’s Office at (434) 592-5100 and they will assist in recovering your ID number and username.
- Once you have your username and ID number, follow the steps below.
Once you know your username or Liberty ID number
- If you have your username, you can try to reset your password by going to www.liberty.edu/password. You will be prompted to authenticate with the Microsoft Authenticator app, cell phone number, or enter your alternate email address that has been set up for account recovery.
- If you only have your Liberty ID number, or have not setup Multi-Factor Authentication for your account, please call the Liberty University IT HelpDesk at (866) 447-2869, and an agent will assist in getting your password reset.
- Once you have your username and password, you can update your account recovery options by providing an alternate email and/or cellular number to recover your account by navigating to www.liberty.edu/mfasetup.
- If you receive a "Account Expired" or other error, and it has been more than a year since you logged into your account, you may need to re-claim your account. Navigate to www.liberty.edu/account, click on Click Here to Claim Your Account button. After entering your information, you should receive a "Congratulations, you already have an account!" page. Afterwards, wait 20 minutes, and you should be able to login.
